Does anyone read blogs any more? Serious question. I ask because I've been wanting to really get stuck back into something that isn't quite social media.. I guess you could argue that blogging still is. Or at least social media adjacent? Either way I just have this overwhelming, somewhat all-consuming need to get away from dreaded AI (and no I'm not a Bot, I’m rather found of my em-dashes and this millennial will continue to use them), endless doom scrolling and algorithms and just be. I want a place I can write nonsensical nonsense and ramble about anything and everything whilst sat at a physical computer, typing on a physical bulky keyboard for probably no one to ever actually read whatever it is I've written... But at least I've done it. Does that make any sense at all? 

 I think I'll stick to Blogger for now. Substack just seems a bit daunting and all fancy... Stick to what you know and all that but we'll see how I get on and more importantly, If I remember to actually post. 

Speaking of, apparently I last posted here in *checks notes* 2020... We're now in 2026, lived through a global pandemic and the world just seems a bit less whimsical and daunting these days. Everything, including life itself just seems to absolutely zoom past. I'm sure that I blinked last Friday and a whole week flew by. Maybe time just moves quicker these days? Maybe I'm getting older.

In a small but no less minor life update I find myself engaged (told you it's been a few years - a lot has happened! However my health still is a load of rubbish and likes to torment me on a regular basis so not everything is different), living together in our own little work in progress flat and ever so slowly/gradually starting to begin wedding planning... Which at the moment mostly consists of me scrolling the one social media site I do truly enjoy - Pinterest and saving all of my ideas which pretty much vibe with a Stevie Nicks woodsy celestial whimsy fever dream... Before getting distracted by pins of retro/vintage horror movie VHS tapes, Halloween/spooky witchy home decor ideas and Taylor Swift's cats. 

 I think this blog will hopefully become a little bit of anything and everything. We'll have to see how it goes and more importantly, if I remember how to format and code the damn thing correctly still!
